Press Release

On July 19th, Roxbury Water Company announced that an agreement was signed to sell our family-owned and operated water utility to New Jersey American Water.

Roxbury Water Company began providing service in 1954 and currently serves nearly 3,900 residential and commercial customers in Roxbury Township. We are pleased to be transitioning our family business to New Jersey American Water. Roxbury Water Company’s President, John F. Hosking commented that “My family is very proud of the quality and service we have provided to our customers for more than 60 years and it gives me peace of mind to know we are leaving our life’s work in their expert and caring hands.”

New Jersey American Water has been providing water services to residents in the state for nearly 130 years and they are known for their excellent water quality and customer service.

We expect the sale to be completed around the end of the year, following approval by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities. Once the sale is final, New Jersey American Water is committed to ensuring a smooth transition and to providing the same great level of quality and service that they provide to all of their customers throughout the state.

More information on the transition will be provided toward the end of 2018.
